This policy describes how the Roundly mobile application (“Roundly”, “we”) handles personal information. Roundly helps golfers in Indonesia find an open round or fill empty spots in a flight.

Who we are

Roundly is operated by Roundly. The public website at roundly.asia is the homepage and legal site for the iOS and Android apps. It does not have user accounts. You can reach us at support@roundly.asia.

Information we collect

Account and phone number

You sign in with a mobile phone number. We use Firebase Authentication to send a one-time verification code by SMS and to create your account. Your phone number is stored as private account data and is not shown on your public golfer profile.

Public golfer profile

After you sign in, you may provide a display name, photo, city, home course, handicap index, skill level, and a short bio. Other golfers can see this profile when they inspect a round or a join request. We also keep counts such as rounds completed and no-shows so hosts can make a basic trust decision.

Rounds and requests

When you host or join a round we store the course, tee time, notes, who is in the flight, and join-request messages needed to accept or decline a spot.

Device and diagnostics

We use Firebase for app operation. That can include a user ID, an FCM device token used to deliver transactional notices (join requests, round updates, and reminders), crash or performance diagnostics, and aggregated analytics about how the app is used. Signing out deletes this device’s push token so notices stop on that phone. We do not collect GPS golf tracking, scores, swing video, or payment card data.

How we use information

Create and secure your account with phone verification.
Show open rounds and let you request, host, or manage a flight.
Show other golfers the public profile you choose to share.
Send transactional notices about join requests, round updates, and reminders.
Keep the service reliable, prevent abuse, and understand usage at a high level.

Legal bases

We process this information to provide the service you ask for, to run a safe community of golfers, and where required by law (including Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law / UU 27/2022). SMS verification is required to use the app.

We do not sell personal information. We share data with:

Other Roundly users, limited to the public profile and round details needed to arrange a flight.
Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, and Analytics) in the asia-southeast2 (Jakarta) region where those products offer it. Related Google infrastructure may still process data in other locations where Google operates.
Authorities when we are legally required to do so.

Retention

We keep account, profile, and round records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards if needed to resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal duties. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.

Your choices

You can update public profile fields in the app. You can ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal data, or withdraw consent where that is the legal basis, by emailing support@roundly.asia or using the support page. Deleting your account removes the ability to host or join rounds with that phone number until you sign up again.

Children

Roundly is for adults who play golf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International processing

Firebase and related Google infrastructure may process data outside Indonesia, including in locations where Google operates. We use these processors so the app can authenticate you, store your rounds, and send notices.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Continued use of Roundly after an update means you accept the revised policy.
